GRASSLEY AGAIN VOTES AGAINST THE PEOPLE OF IOWA
(DES MOINES) - Yesterday Senator Grassley turned his back on jobless Iowans by voting against extending unemployment benefits. More than 60,000 unemployed Iowans are set to lose their benefits because of Chuck Grassley.
"Senator Grassley was quick to bailout Wall Street, but he's ignoring Iowans," said Roxanne Conlin Campaign Manager Mark Daley. "He voted five times to give tax breaks to companies that ship jobs overseas. Senator Grassley must explain his votes to the displaced workers at Maytag in Newton, or to the folks who are out of work at Duct Sox in Dubuque. Grassley needs to remember that he works for the people of Iowa, not the corporations that fill his campaign war chest."
