Grassley Campaign Epitomizes Politics as Usual
(Des Moines)-Senator Chuck Grassley criticized challenger Roxanne Conlin for attending a convention of grassroots activists while hosting a $2,500 per plate PAC breakfast in Washington D.C.
"Senator Grassley must think Iowans are dumb or just not paying attention," said Conlin's Campaign Manager Mark Daley. "He's attacking Roxanne for meeting with grassroots organizers from across the country while hosting at $2,500 a plate PAC breakfast. Those must be some darn good pancakes, Senator. Perhaps you could send any leftovers to the 60,000 jobless Iowans you voted to keep off unemployment."
Senator Grassley has received more money from PACs than individuals according to OpenSecrets.org. Roxanne does not take any money from federal lobbyist or PACS.
